The Indian Naval Ship Kuthar arrived at the Port of Trincomalee for refueling and logistics requirements today (23rd May 2011).
INS Kuthar, a corvette belonging to the Indian Navy, is 92 meters in length and has a displacement of 1449 tons. The ship is commanded by Commander Upal Kundu and carries a complement of 20 officers, 06 under trainee officers and 160 sailors.
INS Kuthar will stay in Sri Lanka until 25th and the crew is scheduled to participate in a series of programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy to enhance the friendly relations between the two Navies during the ship’s stay.
