Great documentary on the devastation war brought to Afghanistan much before the American Army. Once Kabul used to be a just like any other busy capital city but after the soviets left, and the Mujahid's took over it fell into ruins. Then came the menace called Taliban armed,trained and funded by Benazir Bhutto of Pakistan with the sole purpose to make Afghanistan a strictly Islamic state ruled by Shriah and a satellite state or ally of Pakistan for war with India . They utterly ruined any chance of restoring order. Northern Alliance led by Commander Ahmed Shah Massoud held on for as long as they could but at the end had to flee North to make their stand. It is an old documentary by BBC and it brings out the problems faced by the people due to the continuous fighting, invasion, conflict and war that Afghanistan has seen over the past 40 years or so.
